A Helpful Tip (Video):

Yesterday, someone asked, "Out of all the videos you've created, which one's your favorite?"

That’s a hard question because I’ve made so many videos. BUT, there’s definitely one that stands out. 

And it’s the time I impersonated Tyson Mcguffin. 

I bought the stache and the mullet, studied his movements, put an edit together and BOOM, a video emerged.

THEN, that video got the attention of a certain company that said, “What if we took this concept and blew it up!?” 

Which led to another video where Tyson was involved!

For the Pickleball Nerds: 

Recently, I talked to Ben from Real Clear Stats. Think Bill Nye the Science Guy meets pickleball. Ben, if you’re reading this, obviously a much younger, better-looking version of Bill. Bill, if you’re reading, this is not a shot at you. ðŸ˜‚

Gosh, Bill, you’re probably not reading this, are you? ANYWAY…

Ben is doing an amazing job combining data and pickleball. How? By tracking statistics on MLP matches from the past.  

Over time, we’ve developed a relationship and he was nice enough to stat my match (without me even asking) against the Scottsdale Scorchers in the Arizona Pickleball League two weeks ago.

And we got on a call to break it all down. I learned about shot accuracy, game flow, rally wins, and player impact flow.

My Journey Playing Pro Pickleball: 

If you’ve been on pickleball social media the last couple days, you’ve probably seen there’s news surrounding the MLP - PPA Merger, and it’s about cutting player salaries to create a sustainable long term plan for the league.

This does impact me and I’m working through the details. I can’t answer any questions on it right now because the truth is, I don’t know much more (yet) than what’s on social media.

In other news, I’m back at it in the semifinals of the Arizona Pickleball League next Tuesday against the same team that beat us in our last match.

It will be streamed on my youtube channel. See you then!
